Does your service require an additional phone line?

No: Tincans.net Wireless Internet does not require an additional phone line. This means there are no additional monthly costs and no more busy signals.

What are the benefits of High Speed Wireless Internet from Tincans.net?

Value: Total monthly costs are comparable to standard dial up internet costs, because an additional phone line is not required for internet access.

Availability: Tincans.net Wireless service will be available in areas where other forms of high speed internet access is not currently and likely will not be available.

Time: Spend less time waiting for web pages to load. Wireless internet can be up to 30 times faster than a standard 56K connection.

Reliability: Tincans.net has less points of failure than standard land based "phone line/cable" internet options. Typical land based options have 4-6 points of failure, where as Wireless has 2.

Flexibility: Tincans.net offers flexible residential and business options. Options include: flexible bandwidth, Web/Domain Name hosting, extra e-mail accounts, static IP address availability and just about anything else you can think of. If there is something extra you want and you do not see it listed, please contact us and we will see what we can do.

Always On: Tincans.net Wireless Internet is always on, this means no more waiting for your modem to dial, no more busy signals, and no more disconnects. Just open your browser and go.

How did Tincans.net come up with their name?

We tried to think of a name that would portray Wireless Internet for what it is, reliable and simple to use for the customer. We could not think of a more reliable and simple form of communication  than Two Tincans and a String. The only difference is that we are doing it with no strings attached.

When will service be available?

Baring any unforeseen difficulties we are planning on hooking up our first customers in the spring of 2003.

How much will your service cost?

Pricing has not yet been finalized but monthly packages are expected to start in the $40-$45 range for a basic residential package, with installation costs "including hardware" in the $200-$300 range for basic installation. We are looking at options to include the installation costs with monthly service with a 1 and 2 year agreement.

Will I be required to sign a term contract?

No: You will not be required to sign a contract that binds you to Tincans.net for any length of time, but if you opt to include your equipment costs with your monthly service. Then you will be required to sign up for a 1 or 2 year agreement "this is to cover our costs on the equipment".

Why not?: We do not like committing to term agreements ourselves so we do not expect our customers to have to if they do not want to. We are also confident that the level of service we will provide will keep you more than happy.
